University of Grenada (Spanien)

General Information: Granada is very student-centered, with more than 50,000 of its approximately 230,000 residents being students. The University of Granada is attended by about 1,500-2,000 international students annually under the Erasmus+ program, giving it more Erasmus students than any other European university. Over 70 bachelor's and over 100 master's degree programs are offered. The location of Granada offers a great variety of landscapes: on the one hand, the Mediterranean coast with its tropical climate can be reached in 40 minutes, and on the other hand, the Sierra Nevada (Spanish for "snow-covered mountains") can be reached in 30 minutes.

Study programs and specializations: A four-year bachelor's degree program is offered. In this there are so-called core subjects in which, for example, the basics of neuropsychology, psychometry, psychopathology and psychological treatment are studied in depth. In addition, there is an elective area in which one can further educate oneself e.g. in developmental psychology, community psychology, clinical psychology, aging psychology or clinical psychoanalysis. In addition, three different master's programs in psychology are offered; one master's in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience, one in General Health Psychology, and one in Legal and Forensic Psychology.

Study schedule: The winter semester usually begins in mid-September and lasts until the end of January. The summer semester usually lasts from the end of January to the end of June.

Other Information: Erasmus students have the possibility to attend a Spanish language course, language courses are also partly available online.
